TabTrade.com - Is It Worth Opening an Account

TabTrade — What It Is

TabTrade.com launched in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, the breadth is broad.

Platforms

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently coming. That should round things out when it arrives.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

This is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering is strong. Hardly anyone at this price point offer execution like this.

Regulation

This is the detail that matters. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.

The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that works comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before funding.
